The Moment is Coming

In this crazy world we live in I have been blessed to meet some incredible people through social media. One of these beautiful souls is Hung Thai whom I met via Instagram back in 2016. He is a great writer and has inspired me many times with his pictures and musings both on Instagram and via his blog.

After taking little hiatus, Hung is getting back into writing and his latest piece is one that I think many of us can relate to.  I am fortunate enough to have been allowed to share it with you here.  As spring is upon us and new life and hope is born I hope this short piece inspires you and ignites that spark inside you.

The Moment is Coming

“Somewhere along the way, I lost my sense of wonder, that magical thing that turns the mundane into lightning and thunder. Like a color-blind man seeing, for the first time, the saturated blueness in the skies. You can see it in the twinkle of a child’s eyes.

I want. Nay! I need to feel the terror of gravity pulling me down as I leap across the perilous ravine. And when that spark ignites the fire within, set it ablaze with gasoline! Will I be able to let go with reckless abandon and give in to this moment of absolute intoxication? Or will the weight of my own mind extinguish this elation?

Somewhere along the way, I stopped moving from the current chapter. I my own captor. Was this the final destination or merely a captivating distraction? How do I free myself from this sedation? When I had nothing, I had everything to prove. And in doing and have done what I have done, how much is there to improve? Alas, there is much to do if I turn the page, but my hand is trembling, too afraid to set a new stage.

What will it take to allow myself to get lost in a dream… to join the cherry blossoms drifting with the stream? Wandering here and there and getting nowhere. Allowing the stream to reveal itself behind its mysterious meanders – a surprise, perhaps, at every turn, curve, bend, loop, and winding. Can I let go of control and inhibition? The notion is so spellbinding.

But.

But I can feel it…

I can feel it… The moment is coming with the rising sun just beyond its current position.

Then.

Light.

Ignition.”

Hope you enjoyed this short piece “The moment is Coming” by Hung Thai as much as I did.  As a disclaimer I took the liberty to give the piece its tittle as it was given to me without one.  However, I think it a fitting and sincerely hope that moment is indeed coming for all of you.
